Chinese Spicy Beef Skewer Recipe (Asian Street Food Recipe) Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes. There are 3 ways of cooking this dish – BBQ, deep fried and grilled. Of course, grilling is a much healthier way! Ingredients: 500g beef 1 onion 6 cloves garlic 3 Tablespoons white vinegar 4 Tablespoons sugar 2 Tablespoons coarse black pepper 20 wooden or metal skewers Salt to taste Methods: 1. Slice onion thinly. 2. Slice beef into thin slices and place into a mixing bowl. 3. Add onion, black pepper, sugar, vinegar, salt and 2 Tbsp oil into the bowl. 4. Mix all ingredients together 5. Cover and leave in the fridge for 3- 4 hours. 6. Preheat the grill to high 7. Thread the beef onto the skewers one piece at the time. 8. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2 minutes each side. 9. Place onto a dish and serve.
