Chinese Bacon & Onion Meatball Bombs (Chinese Style Cooking Recipe) Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes. Ingredients: 200g Mince Beef 20 Rashers Streaky Bacon 2 Large Onions 50g Coriander 50g Mushrooms 1 Tsp Coarse Black Pepper 15g Brown Sugar 2 Tbsp Tomato Sauce 1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce 20g Bread Crumbs 50g BBQ Sauce Salt to Taste Method: 1. Finely chop the mushrooms and coriander 2. Cut onions into halves, separate and reserve the outer part, finely chop the inner part 3. Place beef in a mixing bowl 4. Add the chopped onion, coriander, mushroom, brown sugar, tomato sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, bread crumbs and pinch of salt 5. Mix all ingredients together and leave to marinate for 10 minutes 6. Preheat oven to 180 degrees 7. Take 2 Tbsp of the mixture into your hand, roll into a ball with the palm of your hands – you can divide the mixture into 10 equal size balls first 8. Use 2 of the separated onion halves and place around the meatball 9. Then wrap 2 rashers of bacon around each onion meatball 10. Use a cocktail stick to hold it together and place on a baking tray 11. Repeat step 6 to 9 till all mixture is used 12. Place into the oven, bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees, remove from oven 13. Brush with BBQ sauce, return to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes 14.
