Chinese Crispy Potato & Pork Meatball Recipe (Asian Cooking Channel) Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes. This is a great dish for a party buffet or snack. It can be eaten either hot or cold. Ingredients: 150g lean minced pork 2 large potatoes 2 onions 20g ginger 1 Tbsp ground Sichuan pepper 1 Tbsp soy sauce 50g plain flour 100ml cold water 1 Tbsp salt Method: 1. Grate the potatoes. 2. Finely slice the onions and chop the ginger. 3. Place the meat, Sichuan pepper, ginger, soy sauce and salt in a large mixing bowl and mix. 4. Add the onions, grated potato and mix well. 5. Heat 1 litre of oil in the wok until hot. 6. Take a Tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. 7. Place them in the hot oil – do this in batches. 8. Deep fry for 5 – 8 minutes on medium heat until golden and floating. 9. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towel. 10. Place onto a dish and serve.
