Chinese Stir-Fry Beef & Cumin (Chinese Style Cooking Recipe) Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes. It's another one of my recipes. The thinner you slice the beef, the more tender it will be. who said you have to buy an expensive piece of beef if you got the skills with your knife! For this dish, I’m using semi-frozen beef. This makes it easier when slicing very thinly. Ingredients: 500g Semi-Frozen Beef 2 Leeks 4 Cloves Garlic 4 to 6 Chilli Peppers 4 Slices Ginger 1 Tbsp Ground Coriander 1 Tbsp Ground Cumin 1 Tsp White Pepper Salt to Taste Method: 1. Cut the leeks into thin slices 2. Chop the ginger & garlic 3. Slice the peppers 4. Slice the semi-frozen beef into very thin slices 5. Once the beef has thawed out, you're ready to start cooking 6. Heat 3 tbsp of the oil in the wok on high heat till smoking 7. Fry the garlic, ginger and chillies for a couple of seconds 8. Add the beef stir fry on a high heat for two minutes 9. Add the cumin, coriander and white pepper, fry for another 2 minutes 10. Add the leeks, fry for a minute & add salt to taste 11.
