Stir Fried Beef & Pak Choi (Beef Cooked with Brown Sugar) Chinese Recipe Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes. Ingredients: 350g Beef Fillet 20g Dark Brown Sugar 10g Ginger 3 Cloves Garlic 160g Pak Choi 1 Tsp Coarse Black Pepper 1 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp Cooking Wine 1 Tsp White Wine Vinegar Salt to Taste Method: 1. Finely chop the garlic & ginger 2. Thinly slice the beef 3. Cut the pak choi in half lengthways 4. Place the beef in a mixing bowl 5. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, white vinegar, cooking wine & black pepper 6. Then mix well & leave to marinate for 20 minutes 7. Boil 1 litre of water with 1 Tsp of salt 8. Add the pak choi & boil for a minute 9. Then remove & drain 10. Heat 2 Tbsp oil - Add the garlic & ginger, stir-fry for a few seconds 11. Add the beef & stir-fry for 2 minutes 12. Add salt, sesame oil & stir 13. Place the pak choi on a dish in a single layer 14. Then place the beef on top 15.
