Each of these regions has its own name for Takurt. لا تزال مناطق الأمازيغ في البلدان المغاربية متمسّكة بالعديد من الألعاب الرياضية التي ورثها الأبناء عن الآباء والأجداد، ومن أشهر تلك الرياضات "تاقورا"، الشبيهة كثيرا برياضة الهوكي اليوم، غير أن مسرح اللعبة الأمازيغية التراب لا الجليد. لم تندثر "تاقورا" رغم تقادم الزمان، فأمازيغ الجزائر والمغرب وليبيا والطوارق في الصحراء لا يزالون يلعبونها، ولكل من هذه المناطق تسميته الخاصة لـ"تاقورا". وورد ذكر هذا اللعبة في "الموسوعة البربرية" بلفظ "تاكورت" Takurt.
